I was in Los Angeles back in 2007, and I went to a lot of art galleries. The portraits I saw of Keith Richards were not very charming. I wanted to create a picture of Keith that would be flattering. There were a lot of good pictures and I chose the one I thought I would best show Keith in his element. I made many portraits in different colors – this one I called ‘my orange’ and titled it – You’ve Got the Silver. I love this one dearly!
